Harry Pratt Memorial BBQ brings in $2,300 for hospital

Harry Pratt’s legacy lives on in Kemptville. The fourth annual Harry Pratt Memorial BBQ brought in $2,300 for the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation.

The cheque presentation was held today. The event, organized by the North Grenville Chamber of Commerce, took place on June 27 at the Tallman Truck Centre. Sponsors included Fat Les’s Chip Stand, Trigon Insurance and Orchard Walk.

Foundation Board Chair Margret Norenberg says what she loves about the fundraiser is that it brings the community together. She noted everyone pitches in to honour Pratt’s memory, including Gerald Tallman and the chamber, which is a big supporter of the hospital. Norenberg says it’s a real community effort.

The money will go towards new equipment for the hospital.
