Maude Barlow of the Council of Canadians spoke to 130 residents at the North Grenville Municipal Centre last night about the proposed Energy East pipeline project. Barlow said the potential risk to our local water source is too great; the perceived economic benefit is too small and we do have a choice in the matter. Barlow suggested we voice our opinions to the Ontario Energy Board as this project is not necessarily a done deal.
