KrisAlis rigs tractor size surprise

David Goode showed up for work yesterday expecting business as usual. The local man, who has an intellectual disability, works at KrisAlis Glass. Little did he know there was a surprise in store for him.

Owner Rob McNamara says it all started when Goode’s lawn tractor broke down a few weeks ago. David thought it was taken to Neill Earl, at First Stop Tool & Equipment Rentals, but the machine was beyond repair. First Stop has fixed the tractor numerous times in the past, for no charge.

McNamara says Ormond and Linda Johnston donated their old lawn tractor after hearing David’s story. Jennie Newans and Jason Wagear, Goode’s co-workers at KrisAlis, got to work fixing it up. The end result was a Dale Earnhardt (Nascar) edition lawn tractor, complete with David’s name.

McNamara says Goode is a perfect fit at KrisAlis. He says anything with a key in it, David wants to start it. McNamara noted Goode is very fun to have around and even though he only comes in for an hour per day, it’s an hour of humour.

Tina Goode, David’s mom, says he’s lucky to work with the people at KrisAlis and now he’s living the dream.

Goode didn’t waste any time testing out the new tractor. He hopped right on and took it for a spin around the building. People can check out the videos of Goode’s reaction on Juice FM’s Facebook page.
