The Beth Donovan Hospice is launching a new speaker series. Living Well with a Life Altering Illness kicks off May 14. Sessions will be held every Tuesday night for six weeks. The series is open to anyone with a life altering illness, their families, friends, caregivers and neighbours. There is no cost to attend.
Board Chair Sue Walker says the sessions are open to anyone with an illness that might change their lives in any way, including diabetes, MS and Parkinson’s.
People can call 613-258-9611 to register. You can attend one session or all six.
Walker says a range of topics will be covered, including pain management, staying active, maintaining a healthy diet, self care and finding hope and meaning in your new reality.
