Local school runs clothing drive

The students and staff at St. Michael Catholic High School collected a mountain of clothing, bedding and footwear. The school ran a clothing drive last week. Thousands of items were collected and will be donated to the House of Lazarus and Salvation Army.

Organizer Father John Whyte says this is the first time the school has done a clothing drive in a few years. He says there was a great response.

Students helped sort the clothing and bag it up. The donations will be dropped off this week.

Whyte says the clothing drive is part of lent. He says the school runs a food drive during advent.
