Choice Hotels Canada still plans on building a Comfort Inn & Suites in Kemptville. The project was originally announced in January, 2018. At that time, construction was slated to start in the spring, but was delayed for unknown reasons. The plan was to open the hotel this month. Â
The mykemptvillenow.com newsroom has made numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact developer Dhanwant Bhatti to discuss the project.
A representative from Choice Hotels says the project is definitely still on the books. According to the rep, construction will start this spring. Â
The conceptual design includes 74 rooms, an indoor pool, meeting rooms and fitness facilities. The plan is to build the hotel near the intersection of Rideau River Road and County Road 43 at the off ramp from Highway 416.
