The House of Lazarus (HOL) is holding a Book Blowout Sale. The event is set for March 29 and 30 at the Winchester United Church. It runs from 3:00 to 8:00pm on Friday and again Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Proceeds will go towards HOL programs.
Communications Coordinator Sandy Casselman says the money will benefit initiatives like Handyman Heroes and Operation Backpack. She says local contractors and mechanics volunteer their time and skills for Handyman Heroes. Casselman says Operation Backpack provides food for local students during weekends.
Donations are being accepted for the book sale. The HOL is also looking for volunteers to help with set-up and clean-up.
Books will be $1 each. DVD’s and CD’s will also be available at the sale. To volunteer, contact the HOL directly by calling 613-989-3830.
