The Oxford Mills Sisterhood of Guiding is collecting empties. The fundraiser will help cover the cost of a trip to Toronto in June.
The bottle drive is set for Saturday, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. People can call 613-229-1575 to arrange pick-up or drop off empties at 1565 Lindsay Road.
Leader Ann Lalonde says the trip will include a visit to Casa Loma. She says the following night the girls will take part in the Serengeti Bush Camp at the Toronto Zoo. Â
The Guides are also hosting a Dinner and Talent Show fundraiser on March 30. The event is being held at St. John’s United Church in Kemptville, beginning at 5:00pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids.
Lalonde says the girls will be serving the meal. She says people will be offered a choice of beef or pasta.
The Guides are also selling cookies to bring in extra dollars. The goal is to raise $150. For more information, email [email protected].
