Members of the St. Michael Catholic High School Swim Team are heading to the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championships.
Kate Waytowich, Noah Penney and Drew Berger won gold medals at the Eastern Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (EOSSAA) championships. The competition was held in Kingston on February 14.
Berger says he got into swimming at a young age.
The local athletes are heading to Toronto to compete at OFSAA on March 5, 6 and 7. Â

Coach Andrew Galbraith says the team did well this year. He says aside from the three gold medal winners, the team had around 10 top 5 finishes and every member placed in the top 10 for their races or relays.
A total of 19 students are on the swim team.
