The House of Lazarus (HOL) is looking for sponsors for its annual Ladies Night Out event.
This year will be the third time HOL runs the event. Ladies Night Out features vendors, door prizes, a silent auction, entertainment and refreshments. There are three levels of sponsorship, going up to $300. Tax receipts are available
Money raised will be used to fund community outreach programs, like Dinner on the House Community Meal, the Birthday Club, Heat for the Holidays and Starting Over Program.Â
Client Service Manager Kim Merkley says the outreach programs are a big part of HOL and the Food Bank. Â
The HOL is starting two new programs, including the Backpack Program and the Crockpot Program.
Merkley says the new Backpack Program gives kids with food for the weekend. On Monday, the kids return the backpack empty and HOL staff pick up the backpacks again to refill.
Ladies Night Out brought in $6,000 last year. Outreach programs helped a total of 2,600 in 2018.
