Girls Inc. invites local girls to learn about media literacy. The special one-day program runs on the PA day set for January 31. It is being held at St. Francis Xavier High School in Brockville.
The program is open to girls between the ages of six and 12. It starts at 9:00am and wraps up at 4:00pm.
Girls will dissect media messages and challenge society’s idea of beauty. Each participant will also create a painting that shows individuality and character.
Girls Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that teaches girls to be strong, smart and bold. More than 800 girls participated in programming last year.
