David Wilcox, Kim Mitchell to co-headline Kemptville Live

Kemptville Live Music Festival is adding to its line-up for 2019. David Wilcox and Kim Mitchell will co-headline at the festival on July 18. Mitchell was scheduled to perform at the Kemptville Live this past summer, but had to cancel due to health reasons. Wilcox performed at the festival in 2017.

Wilcox’s career took off when he joined Ian and Sylvia Tyson’s band, Great Specked Bird, in 1970. In the past 40 years, Wilcox has toured constantly. He is best known for songs such as Downtown Came Uptown and Riverboat Fantasy.

Mitchell has gold and multi-platinum sales status under his belt. His career started with the band Max Webster, which defined ‘alternative’ and ‘independent’ in the ‘70s. Mitchell left the band to pursue a solo career. He is best known for the song Patio Lanterns.

The 2019 edition of Kemptville Live runs from July 18 to 21. The festival is being held at Kemptville College for the fifth year. Tickets are available by clicking here.
