The North Grenville Fire Service (NGFS) responded to a house fire on Donnelly Drive. The call came in around 3:15pm yesterday afternoon.
North Grenville has a mutual aid agreement in place with the Ottawa Fire Service. Both departments arrived on site around the same time.
A total of 11 local firefighters helped out by manning the water fill station in Burritts Rapids, which draws water directly from the river.
Firefighters battled the blaze for about four hours. Three people were displaced by the fire.
