KPS students take part in world record setting sport stacking event

Students at Kemptville Public School took part in a world record setting event. The kids, along with over 624,390 other people around the world, broke the record for ‘Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day.’  The event was held November 8.

Teacher Robert Matheson says the World Sport Stacking organization runs the event annually. He says students have to sport stack for 30 minutes each in order for it to count towards the record.

A total of 455 students participated this year. This is the sixth year KPS has taken part.

Matheson says there were six stations with different types of activities. He says there were two relay stations, a stack and fitness station, a station where students could time themselves, a racing station and one where students stacked their way around a table.
