Winter parking restrictions are coming into effect. The blanket ban starts tomorrow and runs until April 15. Parking is not permitted on any road in North Grenville between the hours of 11:00pm and 8:00am.
Bylaw Officer James Petersen says there have already been two snowfall events and roads need to be maintained. He says public works staff need to be able to clear snow and salt the roads.
Warnings are typically handed out during the first few snowfalls.
Petersen says the fine for overnight parking is $40. He says if a vehicle is in the way of a plow, the fine increases to $65 plus towing fee.
