Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced the date for the federal by-election in Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes.
The election will be held on December third. It will fill the vacant seat of the late MP Gord Brown. Candidates have until November 12Â to submit their nomination forms.
The seat has been empty since Brown’s death in May.
The candidates are as follows: Michael Barrett (Conservative Party), Mary Jean McFall (Liberal), Michelle Taylor (NDP) and Lorraine Rekmans (Green Party).
