Education consultation launches tomorrow

Eastern Ontario residents will have a chance to provide input about education. Three telephone town halls are being held. Parents, students, educators and interested citizens are encouraged to take part.

People can register for the telephone town halls set for tomorrow from 12:00 noon to 1:30pm, November 16 from 12:00 noon to 1:30pm and November 22 from 6:30 to 8:00pm.

Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark says it’s important for people to have their say. He says this is the largest education consultation in Ontario’s history.

People can also click here to provide feedback online. The consultation process is open until December 15.

“Whether it’s providing feedback on the Health and Physical Education curriculum, cellphones in the classroom, improving performance in math, science and technology or any other area, I want to ensure that every parent, student, educator and citizen with an interest has the opportunity to have their voice heard,” says Clark.
