CSE Consulting will be hosting a job fair on Thursday.
Eight different employers will be at 191 King Street East from one to three in the afternoon. The event is free to attend. Rod Palmer is a Job Developer at CSE Consulting and says the employers that will be at the event are looking to see what skills and talents people have that are looking for a job right now.
“Most of the employers that are coming have multiple positions opened. So, it’s not as if they’re looking for one key person, I think they’re just trying to get a feel for the labour market itself.”
The employers that have already committed to being at the fair include: Kriska Transport, The Mayfield Retirement Home, Tim Hortons in Prescott, Advanced Grain Handling Systems, Cardinal Health, Sunlife Insurance, HFI Piryotechnics and Wubs Transit.
Palmer adds the majority of the employers are looking for entry level personnel. He says the retirement home will be looking at people for the nursing side of things, to housekeeping to the kitchen.
