Big Sky Ranch in need of donations

Big Sky Ranch Animal Sanctuary is looking for help. With winter approaching, the sanctuary is short on cash donations to cover electricity and heating costs.

Founder Andy Parent says dry cat food is another big need, along with cleaning supplies like paper towels and bleach.

There are currently 117 animals being cared for at Big Sky, which is the only no-kill sanctuary of its kind. Big Sky takes in animals of all shapes and sizes, from peacocks and goats to cats and dogs.

The monthly cost of running the sanctuary is between $8,000 and $10,000. Parent says the colder months are difficult because there are less visitors and donations coming in.

Big Sky has re-homed nearly 3,000 animals since opening its doors. For more information about the sanctuary or to donate, click here.

Big Sky is also looking for volunteers.
