Local business donates generators to people impacted by tornadoes

First Stop Rentals in Kemptville went above and beyond for people impacted by the tornadoes in Ottawa. Following the storm on September 21, First Stop got calls from people without power who needed a generator.

The local business rented out all 10 of its generators after the storm. When people returned them, First Stop didn’t charge them a cent.

Owner Neill Earl says there were a lot of people doing their part and it was the least he could do. He says people were very grateful for the generators and offered up hugs as payment for his kindness.

According to CBC, over 200,000 people in Ottawa and Gatineau lost power after 6 tornadoes touched down in the region.
