A sweet treat fundraiser brought in dollars for a local man battling cancer. Ryan Forbes was diagnosed with stage four cancer in July. Jonsson’s Independent had cinnamon doughnuts by donation available on Saturday in support of #DieselsArmy.
The store raised $1,510 in just four hours. Owner Steve Jonsson says the community got behind the fundraiser.
The store supplied everything so 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to Forbes and his family.
Jonsson says some people donated without even taking a doughnut. He says he’s very pleased with how it went and the community support was incredible.
