Local football game to bring in dollars for people impacted by tornados

The students at North Grenville District High School are raising money for the Red Cross to help out with tornado relief efforts in Ottawa-Gatineau. The Knights football team is having its first home game this Friday and students will be able to buy-in to the game by donating $2. The Knights will face off against Gananoque.

Teacher Cathy Parent says all the money raised will go towards helping people impacted by the tornados.

The fundraiser is being organized by the Recreation Leadership Class. The game starts at 12:00 noon and all students, from grades 7 to 12, are welcome to attend. The game is also open to anyone in the community.

Parent says home games are always fun to watch. For more details, contact the school directly by calling 613-258-3481.
