The Kemptville & District Sports Hall of Fame is growing. The 2018 induction ceremony is set for Thursday beginning at 6:00pm. The ceremony will be held at the North Grenville Municipal Centre. One athlete, one builder and two teams are being added to the Hall of Fame this year.
Board Member Doug Rigby says it all started with a group of people looking to honour local athletes, coaches and teams.
Admission is free and the whole community is invited. Hall of Fame nominations are submitted by members of the public.
Rigby says the board is always looking for athletes and amateur teams who have brought distinction to North Grenville through outstanding achievement. He says builders are people who have made a significant contribution to the development and advancement of local athletic competition.
