Hospice, chapel partner to bring palliative care speaker to Kemptville

The Beth Donovan Hospice is partnering with Hulse, Playfair and McGarry to host a palliative care speaker. Marie-Jo Cleghorn, a professor at St. Lawrence College and palliative care nurse, is leading the presentation. Cleghorn will be speaking about the importance of being present during the palliative journey.

Hospice Executive Director Debbie Watt says Cleghorn has a lot of experience in the field of palliative care and has done TED talks.

The presentation is set for Friday at the chapel in Kemptville. It kicks off at 7:00pm and wraps up around 9:00pm. The event is open to the whole community at no cost.

Watt says Cleghorn will talk about what qualifies as a good death and the things that really matter.

To register for the event, contact the hospice directly by calling 613-258-9611 ext. 2 or emailing [email protected].
