The Forbes family will be making a $40,000 donation to CHEO thanks to a matching campaign through the hospital. The original $20,000 donation was raised at the Ambush Benefit Concert in the Park last weekend.
The concert brought in over $39,000, which was split equally between Ryan Forbes and CHEO. Forbes was diagnosed with stage four cancer in July and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
W.O Stinson & Son Ltd. is matching the donation to CHEO, bringing the total up to $40,000. Â
CHEO is a cause near and dear to the Forbes family. Their daughter, Lola, underwent open heart surgery last year at the age of two.
