Public input needed for hospital’s Patient Declaration of Values

The Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) is looking for feedback from the community. The draft Patient Declaration of Values is a series of statements outlining what people value most about healthcare. It was developed by the Patient and Family Advisory Committee.

The statements fall under five categories: Dignity and Respect, Compassion and Caring, Collaboration and Communication, Quality and Safety, and Clarity and Confidentiality.

The Patient Declaration of Values is in the form of an infographic. People are encouraged to review the draft and provide input.

After community feedback is reviewed and incorporated wherever possible, the final Patient Declaration of Values will replace the KDH’s former Patient Bills of Rights.
