Richardson Hair Design is donating 100 per cent of the proceeds from men’s haircuts to a local man battling cancer. Ryan Forbes was diagnosed with stage four cancer at the end of July. The 39-year-old Kemptville resident is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
Owner Stephanie Richardson says she grew up in Kemptville and knows of Forbes, through family and friends. She has a donation jar set up in the salon as well.
The fundraiser runs until the end of August. Richardson says the salon has been busier than usual and over $500 has been raised so far.
