The Kemptville Canadian Tire is running a promotion to help Ryan Forbes. The local man was diagnosed with stage four cancer at the end of July.
Canadian Tire is donating $5 from every oil change to the Forbes family when you use the promotion code The Fighter. Service Manager Sam Le Goueff says she came up with the idea after hearing about a local hairdresser doing something similar. Â
Owner Frank Hoffman took the fundraiser one step further by throwing in a push lawn mower to raffle off. The mower is valued at $550. Tickets are $5 each and every dollar will go to the Forbes family. The raffle has brought in nearly $300 so far. Hoffman says his business does what it can to help people in the community.
The oil change promotion and raffle run until August 31.
