Two local teens caught breaking into cars

Grenville County OPP officers are investigating several thefts. The incidents occurred last week and over the weekend.

Officers responded to a call of a mischief in progress on River Road on Wednesday. Multiple vehicles were entered and a variety of items were stolen, including cash. Two North Grenville teens – a 14-year-old male and 16-year-old male – were identified as the culprits. All stolen property was returned.

Equipment was stolen from an unlocked truck on Wednesday night. The vehicle was parked at a home on South Gower Drive. Two Stihl saws, blades and a wallet with a Marvel logo were taken. The investigation is ongoing.

Early Sunday morning, a garage on McGovern Road East was broken into. Tools and a 2003 black BMW 540 Import, licence plate number BVS D527, were stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

A brown cast iron bistro table from a home on Westerra Way was stolen off the front porch and the investigation is ongoing.
