Blaine & Angie’s Fat Les’s Chip Stand is offering Pay It Forward Meals. People can choose to pay for an extra item on the menu, which gets written on a sticky note and put on the Pay It Forward board. Anyone who needs something to eat can grab a sticky note and get the item for free. Owner Angie Mordy says she heard about a pizza place doing something similar and wanted to try it out.
The Pay It Forward Meals board already has over 20 sticky notes, which include everything from a bottle of water to a hamburger. Mordy says getting the word out is important.
Mordy plans on contacting the Kemptville Salvation Army and House of Lazarus to let their food bank clients know about the Pay It Forward Meals. Mordy says the board is already taking on a life of its own.
Mordy says the purpose of the board, which has been up for about a week, is to inspire people to do nice things for each other.
