Parks Canada says the Burritts Rapids Swing Bridge will be reopened to vehicles and foot traffic. The bridge will open on Tuesday, according to a release sent out today.
Once the bridge opens, work will begin on the commissioning phase where the contractor will monitor the performance of the bridge through a series of test swings. The temporary pedestrian crossing will be removed. Â
Over the last two weeks, the contractor has completed repairs to the bridge’s protective coating and installed the wood deck.
