Burritts Rapids Swing Bridge to open Tuesday

Parks Canada says the Burritts Rapids Swing Bridge will be reopened to vehicles and foot traffic. The bridge will open on Tuesday, according to a release sent out today.

Once the bridge opens, work will begin on the commissioning phase where the contractor will monitor the performance of the bridge through a series of test swings. The temporary pedestrian crossing will be removed.  

Over the last two weeks, the contractor has completed repairs to the bridge’s protective coating and installed the wood deck.
