Fat Les’s Chip Stand brings in $850 for Neon Night

Neon Night for Childhood Cancer will get a donation of $850 thanks to Fat Les’s Chip Stand in Kemptville. Every dollar brought in during a four-hour stint at the chip stand on July 7 went to Neon Night. Owner Les Winters says childhood cancer is a cause close to his heart.

The money will push Neon Night closer to its goal of raising $85,000 this year. Winters says it’s a great organization.

The 5th annual Neon Night in Kemptville, run by the Canadian Cancer Society, is set for September 22 at Riverside Park. The event is a 5km and 2km fun run/walk for all ages and abilities. Activities begin around 5:30pm and the run kicks off at 7:30pm. For more information or to register for the event, click here.
