A new CAO/Clerk/Economic Development Director is in place for Merrickville-Wolford.
The former CAO/Clerk John Regan stepped down in May and interim CAO/Clerk Arie Hoogenboom completed his contract at the end of June. Doug Robertson started his new position on July 5. Robertson says municipal government is all about the people.
Robertson has an MBA from Wilfred Laurier University and is currently pursuing the Municipal Administration program and his Certificate of Economic Development. He spent seven years in a senior management position with the City of Ottawa. He has prior experience working as a CAO/Clerk for the Township of Madawaska Valley. Robertson says he is focused on implementing the Strategic Plan outlined by council.
Robertson lives in Stittsville with his family and has agreed to a one-year contract with Merrickville-Wolford.
