OPP investigating second break-in at former KPS, destruction at Rideau Glen

The Grenville County OPP are asking for the public’s help with incidents of vandalism, break-ins and theft. All the occurrences happened during the week of July 1 to 8.

Sometime over the July long weekend, extensive damage was done to multiple greens at Rideau Glen Golf Course on County Road 44. ATV vehicles drove onto the greens, ripping up the grass.

On Wednesday last week, a house on Westerra Way was broken into and the culprit(s) made off with jewelry and silverware. Community Safety Officer Cathy Lindsey says people need to call 9-1-1 if they see suspicious activity.

A second break-in at the former Kemptville Public School, located on Reuben Crescent, led to extensive damage. The culprit(s) broke a window and emptied a fire extinguisher inside the building last week.
