Yazdani Dentistry collecting empties to help raise money for mission trip

The staff at Yazdani Family Dentistry are collecting liquor bottles and cans to raise money. The group of 10 local dentists and hygienists are fundraising for a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Dr. Shahrooz Yazdani will pay for their flights if the group can raise $15,000 to cover accommodation and living expenses during the trip, which is set for next spring. Marketing Director Lisa Leduc says every dollar counts.

People can drop off empties to the Yazdani office on Thursdays from 4:00 to 7:00pm and Fridays from 7:00 to 11:00am. The staff are also organizing a fundraising car wash for sometime in August. Leduc says the staff are looking forward to helping out.

The week-long mission trip will be mostly spent removing infected teeth, doing fillings and cleanings for people who don’t have access to medical care. The group has also set up a GoFundMe page to raise money. To donate online, click here.
