A free family-friendly event is being put on by the Friends of the Ferguson Forest Centre. The event is set for this Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The Fun Fest will be held at the Forest Centre Arboretum. Organizer Bruce Noble says the Discovery Village is new this year.
Representatives from the National Capital Balloon Club, along with Rideau Ground Search and Rescue and Canada Parks and Wilderness Society will be on site. Noble says there will be three bands providing live entertainment.
The event opens with the Kemptville Legion Pipes and Drums Band at 10:00am. There will also be a trampoline show, Morgan horses, cheerleading demonstrations and a magic show. Noble says there may be a giant hot air balloon.
The Friends of the Ferguson Forest Centre is a non-profit, volunteer run organization.
