Father’s Day Show and Shine to bring in food, money for Salvation Army

Classic cars, trucks and everything in between – what more could dad want? The 9th annual Father’s Day Show and Shine is set for this Sunday at Riverside Park. The event, put on by the Hwy 43 Car Club, kicks off at 9:00am and runs until 3:00pm. Emcee Kelly Searson says the price is right.

The club brings in truckloads of food and cash donations for the local food bank each year. Between 500 and 600 vehicles will be on display at the show. The burnout contest starts at 1:00pm. Live music will be provided by the Cadillac Rumble Trio. Searson says it’s a great event for the whole family.

Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark, along with North Grenville Mayor David Gordon and Deputy Mayor Barb Tobin, will lead opening ceremonies at 9:00am. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 212 will host a pancake breakfast at 7:00am and run a barbecue in the afternoon.

The Hwy 43 Car Club meets every Friday night in the Food Basics parking lot. For more information about the club, click here.
