The Mustang Volleyball team took part in the Ontario Volleyball Association National Championships. The team, made up of students from St. Michael Catholic High School, travelled to Edmonton to compete last month. Coach Angus MacDonald says the team had a great season.
The team was beat out in the quarter-finals at nationals. They took home gold from the Eastern Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (EOSSAA) finals and placed fifth at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) finals earlier in the season. MacDonald says the team plays well offensively.
The team was formed five years ago when the players were in grade 7 and 8. A group of five friends was the force behind it. For more information about Mustang Volleyball, click here.
