Steve Clark wins by landslide

The results are in and Steve Clark has won. Clark held onto his seat for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes in a landslide victory tonight. The incumbent Progressive Conservative has served as MPP since 2010. Clark says he focused on the issues during the campaign.

Clark was first elected in a by-election, where he won by a 66 per cent margin. He was re-elected in October 2011 and won his third term in office in June 2014. Clark serves as Deputy Leader, Deputy House Leader and is also Critic for Ethics and Accountability at Queen’s Park. Clark says he is excited about the next four years.

Clark gained attention across Canada in the ‘80s when at the age of 22 he was elected Mayor of the City of Brockville. He served three terms as Mayor.

Clark ran against David Henderson (Liberal), Michelle Taylor (NDP) and Derek Morley (Green Party).
