Plant sale at St. Mike’s brings in funds for environmental sciences program

Need plants? St. Michael Catholic High School has you covered. The annual plant sale runs today and tomorrow at the school. All money raised goes back into the environmental sciences program. Teacher Sean Souter says there is a wide variety.

Students in the environmental sciences program start the seeds after March Break. This is the 14th year St. Mike’s has hosted the plant sale. Souter says the sale makes the program financially self-sufficient.

Smaller plants cost about $1 and bigger plants are about $2. The public is welcome to stop by the school and pick up some plants during school hours. Any leftover plants will go to the Giving Garden in Kemptville.
