Students and staff at St. Michael Catholic High School are getting ready for their annual Spring Concert. The show will be held at the school tomorrow night and kicks off at 7:00pm. Admission is by donation. The Junior Concert Band, Senior Concert Band, Jazz Band and Chamber Choir will be performing.
Music teacher Leela Kowlessar Dawber says there will be a wide variety of musical styles, including classical, jazz, blues, swing and folk. The students have been practising weekly for the past 9 months to get ready for the concert.
The music program is open to all students at St. Mike’s, regardless of age or ability. They have the opportunity to work with professional musicians throughout the year and participate in workshops, exchange programs and festivals. For more details, visit smchs.ca.
