PC candidate Steve Clark wants to scrap carbon tax, cut gas costs

MPP Steve Clark has held his seat in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 2010. The Progressive Conservative candidate is seeking re-election in Leeds-Grenville. Clark says rural communities deserve a fair share of provincial services.

Reducing Hydro rates, scrapping the carbon tax and cutting gas costs by 10 cents per litre are all on Clark’s list of priorities. He is also focused on creating new jobs in Leeds-Grenville. He noted the Kemptville College property, recently purchased by the Municipality of North Grenville, is an economic opportunity for the riding. Clark says economic development projects are key.

The provincial election is June 7 and the MyKemptvilleNow newsroom will be talking to all the Leeds-Grenville provincial candidates this week to help you make an informed decision on voting day. Libertarian candidate Bill Buckley declined to be interviewed. To find out if you’re registered to vote, visit elections.on.ca.

An all-candidates meeting will be held at the North Grenville Municipal Centre on May 31 at 7:00pm.
