A mission trip to the Dominican Republic is in the works for Yazdani Family Dentistry staff. A group of local dentists and hygienists have kicked off a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for the trip. The goal is to raise $15,000 to help cover accommodation and living expenses during the trip, which is set for next spring. They will be travelling to the Dominican to give free dental care to Haitian refugees. Dr. Shahrooz Yazdani says its important to give back.

About 15 people from the Yazdani offices in Kemptville and Kanata have signed up to go on the mission trip. Dr. Yazdani says he is helping his staff cover costs.

The week-long mission trip will be mostly spent removing infected teeth, doing fillings and cleanings for people who don’t have access to medical care. The staff participating will be volunteering their time to go. To donate, visit gofundme.com/yazdani-mission-trip-to-dr.
