South Branch Elementary School is hosting a Plant and Bake Sale. The fundraising event is this Saturday and kicks off at 9 a.m. The plants and baked goods were donated by parents and community members. Principal Jill Pensa says many people have contributed.
The fundraiser brings in thousands of dollars for the school annually. The money will go towards playground improvement, which students refer to as ‘recess reborn.’ Pensa says the event is about community coming together.
The school is also raffling off baskets and running a silent auction. High school students will be on site doing face painting. The event is open to the whole community.
