The burn ban is off. The North Grenville Fire Service made the call to lift the ban earlier this morning. Residents can now have open air fires if they have a valid burn permit. Fire chief John Okum says conditions have changed
A burn ban is put in place every spring to prevent grass fires. Okum says the issue is not the ground, but the dead grass on top.
