Just before 3:00 pm on September 6th, while conducting a RIDE check at the intersection of County Rd. 44 and County Rd. 21 in Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Township police spoke with the driver of a brown Chevy that had entered the RIDE check. Following a brief investigation police arrested both the driver and passenger in the vehicle for Possession of a Controlled Substance. A search of the vehicle turned up approx. 60 grams of marijuana along with other drug paraphernalia. A 32 year old male from Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Township has been charged with Possession of Marijuana over 30 grams and was also charged for having open alcohol.
