Know a business owner who goes above and beyond for their customers or community? The Chamber of Commerce is still accepting nominations for the North Grenville Breakfast Banquet awards. This is the first year the chamber will be hosting the economically focused breakfast. Sarah Spear, chamber executive assistant, says the municipality approached the chamber for help with the event.
The chamber may continue hosting the Breakfast Banquet annually. Spear says the cost of hosting the breakfast is why the municipality stepped back.
Six awards will be handed out during the breakfast: entrepreneur of the year, new business of the year, young entrepreneur of the year, female entrepreneur of the year, community appreciation award and most innovative business. The main event is the Harry Pratt Ambassador of the Year award, which recognizes a person who acts as a spokesperson for the community.
