Time to run for fun! The third annual Merrickville Heritage Classic is this Saturday. Some of the funds will go to the community summer program for kids and the seniors fitness program. Sally McInnis, volunteer coordinator for the event, says every participant will get a medal.
Over 250 runners have signed up so far. The race kicks off at the Merrickville Community Centre. McInnis says the purpose of the race is to get people out and active.
You can sign up for race online at run-merrickville.ca or the Friday evening before from 5 to 8 p.m. Runners can also register the morning of the event from 6 to 7:30 a.m.
