Rotary Duck Race ticket sales benefit Navy League and Sea Cadets

Time to get all your ducks in a row! The Rotary Duck Race is set for May 27 and tickets are selling fast. They are $5 each or three for $10. First prize is $500. There are 1,500 tickets up for grabs and 400 have been sold so far.

Susie McIntosh, Navy League commanding officer, says people will be out selling tickets at locations around town leading up to the race.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Navy League and Sea Cadets in Kemptville. Both programs are free for kids age nine to 18. McIntosh says the Rotary has gone above and beyond to support the local cadets.

The duck race is held at Rotary Park beside the Prescott Bridge in downtown Kemptville. All 1,500 rubber ducks are dumped into the creek and the first to cross the finish line is the winner.
