North Dundas students repair vehicle for Syrian family

Students at North Dundas High School are making it easier for a local Syrian refugee family to get around.

The Upper Canada District School Board says students in the transportation technology class are repairing a donated vehicle for the family-of-five to use. This is a joint effort between the school, the Dundas Coalition for Refugee Support and some businesses. Teacher Andrew Whitton says this is a chance for students to apply the skill they have learned. Grade 12 student Nathan Boucher says this is a great way to give something back to the family that came here with really nothing.

The Syrian family moved to Winchester in February. The three children are enrolled in the local public school board.
